SUMMARY:Global Mixer: A Taste of Turkey
DESCRIPTION:If you haven’t made the drive to Ada to discover one of the area’s best kept secrets\, Michigan’s only Turkish restaurant\, you certainly don’t know what you’re missing.  \n  \nZeytin has hit its mark with online raves about its shish kebab\, made with fresh meats such as lamb\, beef\, and chicken; all marinated at least eight hours before serving. Priding itself on offering a full menu\, featuring sixteen different appetizers and twenty-two entrees\, most of the items are made in-house from scratch with fresh ingredients.  \n  \nBut the food is only part of the story. The full bar features an international selection\, including an assortment of Turkish beers and wines you won’t find anywhere else in Michigan. \n  \nJoin us for a three-course authentic Turkish meal at our September Global Mixer\, where we’ll share a delightful evening of culture\, cuisine\, and community with Zeytin of Ada. We will begin the evening with a brief informal presentation from the owners of Zeytin who will share their restaurant’s story and about Turkish culture and cuisine. Guests will enjoy a selection of appetizers (hummus\, tabouli\, baba ghanoush\, stuffed grape leaves and tzatziki)\, two entrée options (chicken shish kabob or gyro)\, Zeytin salad\, rice pilaf\, and baklava for dessert. Water\, tea\, or soda will be included and guests may choose to purchase alcohol if they wish. What a great way to kick off the year with our first Global Mixer!
