The World Affairs Council of Western Michigan (WACWM) has announced its board leadership for 2025-26.
Kristina Munsters, a partner at Warner Norcross + Judd LLP, will serve as president for a two-year term starting on July 1. Munsters was vice president for two years, and succeeds Cary Justice, vice president of international legal, global public policy and government at Amway, who completed two terms as a board member and two years as board president.
Elected to officer positions with Munsters are Robert Stead, partner at Barnes and Thornberg LLP, as vice president; Michael McNinch, senior vice president at Fifth Third Bank, as treasurer; and David Lee, senior vice president at Bank of America, as secretary.
Joining these officers on the organization’s executive committee are Abi Adekoya, associate attorney at Miller Johnson; Brent Case, vice president, business development, The Right Place; and Thomas Cook, general manager, education, Steelcase.
“While grateful for Cary’s outstanding leadership and that of other retiring board members, we look forward to Kristina’s tenure as president and the efforts of a talented executive committee,’ said Michael Van Denend, executive director of WACWM.
WACWM completed its 75th anniversary year with a well-received Vandenberg Prize presentation and global issues discussion featuring Ambassador (ret.) Nicholas Burns, who was recently the U.S. Ambassador to China, and served as U.S. Ambassador to NATO and Greece.
