Aquinas First Place

Moving the annual WorldQuest global trivia competition from May to January was an attempt by the World Affairs Council of Western Michigan (WACWM) to liven up the cloudy and cold winter month with some good food and drink, networking, and fun global knowledge competition.

Given the great turnout of member companies, universities, and friends, it looks like the change was welcome by all.

Aquinas College’s team, a regular champion some years back, returned to the WorldQuest winner’s podium, followed closely by Calvin University in second, and a team from Warner Norcross + Judd in third.

WACWM friends and former board members Martha Gabrielse and Dick Gauthier traded off as the game’s emcees, and numerous businesses and organizations showered the event with delightful giveaways to add to the enjoyment of the evening.

The fine response to the January timing has WACWM already planning on WorldQuest 2025 for January of that year.
