Theme: Absence/Presence. The series presents a selection of award-winning films from New Zealand, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Japan, Finland/France, and Germany.
Using various narratives and cinematic and thematic devices, each film in the 2023 series explores the idea of absence/presence – a universal experience as the world emerges from a life-altering pandemic.
